Pastor Andrea Wigglesworth (MSc Ad Prac Couns, Dip Sup) is a pastor at St Mungo’s Church in Edinburgh where she serves as the Director of their Counseling Service. She also serves at the Church of Scotland in Crossreach in the National Counselling Service. Her main work is to train Christian Counsellors and plant a federation of Christian Counselling Centres throughout Scotland. She travels widely to preach and encourage churches in many nations as well as training counsellors in and out of Scotland.

 Pastor Vicky McEvoy (BTh, H.Dip Ad Ed, Dip Couns) is the Manager of Oasis Counselling Centre, a busy community Counselling Service offering Christian Counselling and has been involved in Counsellors training for 12 years. She is married to Rev John McEvoy, the Director of Elim Ministries in Dublin, Ireland where they also pastor a church.

 Andrea and Vicky run a training organization called Vital Connexions and have a vision to train Christian counsellors all over the world. Their workshops are experiential as well as helpful for church leaders and participants who are serving as people helpers and counsellors.

Aim

When someone approaches us for help, we as pastors, leaders, people-helpers, or as caring individuals within the church, apply every spiritual remedy we know to help them but unfortunately, many people remain in their stuckness. It is not uncommon for us to see people with relational, emotional or spiritual issues move from one person or place to another seeking for relief, healing or answers. In this regard, many of us are unaware of the crucial link between our emotional health and spiritual maturity to our overall wellness as individuals and as a community.

God has given our church the ministry of Pastoral Care, Healing and Deliverance, and Christian Counselling that can provide biblical discipleship that promotes healing and change in our lives. This seminar will help us clarify and understand their roles, and how they are integrated to support and promote holistic wellness in individuals and within the church at large.

C Through Marriage is a book consisting of 48 different topics all beginning with the letter C dealing with everyday issues that every couple faces on a daily basis. Each chapter is short and very readable. The advice is gleaned from over 30 years of pastoral experience and 35 years of marriage. It is written primarily to the Christian community, although it does have a much broader appeal.

This book is a very useful resource for both marital and premarital counseling. It is published by Tate Publishing & Enterprises and can be previewed on their website as well as on Amazon books.  You can find this book wherever good books are sold. I believe that C Through Marriage can be a real asset to your ministry of trying to restore wholeness to broken and suffering marriages.
